# Hero

The hero block renders a full-width image, text and CTA. This block generally is rendered inside the "Hero" region of the theme.

### Creating a hero block

1\. Go to /block/add/hero to create a hero block. Use the "video" field to play a background video (Under 3mb is recommended). Image is required.

2\. After saving and placing the block (Hero region is recommended) you will see a block similar to the one below. Note that when this block is rendered in the "hero" region the menu will overlay the top of the hero.
